Protection You'll Actually Wear
VEP LITE is a discreet, concealable bullet-resistant vest weighing just 1.3 kg. Most ballistic vests are heavy, require you to choose the right size, and are visible under clothing. As a result, they often end up in a closet or the trunk of a car.
When developing VEP LITE, we deliberately took a different approach. The 25 × 30 cm protective panels cover the heart, lungs, and upper abdomen, providing protection from both the front and the back. At the same time, the vest is lightweight enough to be worn comfortably throughout the day.
Certified Protection in a Compact Design – Directly from the Manufacturer
Testing was carried out on a 25 × 30 cm protective panel, not on a larger test sample.
The NIJ IIIA ballistic protection level provides protection against handgun ammunition up to .44 Magnum. ČSN 39 5360, protection class TON II, confirms resistance to knife stabs. Under STANAG 2920, the protective panel achieves a V50 value of 500 m/s against fragments.
The vest bears the CE marking in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
VEP has been manufacturing ballistic protective equipment in Slovakia since 1992. We manufacture both the protective panels and the vest carriers ourselves. That's why we offer a 10-year warranty on the ballistic protective panels.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What size should I order?
VEP LITE comes in a universal size. The vest fits most adults with an average body build and can be individually adjusted using the adjustable straps.
Can I legally own this vest as a civilian?
A ballistic protective vest is classified as personal protective equipment, not a weapon. In most EU countries, private individuals are allowed to purchase and own ballistic protective vests.
However, regulations may vary from country to country. We recommend checking the applicable laws in your country before making a purchase.
